ACUPUNCTURE
Traditional Chinese Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient art that has been practiced for over 2,000 years. This ancient art focuses on treating both the symptom and underlying cause of the condition. Acupuncture is a whole medical system that treats the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical being.
Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. The body has pathways where energy flows called meridians. When there is an imbalance or obstruction in the meridians, conditions develop. Acupuncture will help correct these imbalances by inserting needles at precise locations to help the body restore its natural state of health. From a western perspective research has shown various physiological changes following an Acupuncture treatment, such as changes in cell counts, anti-inflammatory agents and release of endorphins, which are natural relievers of pain and stress.
Japanese Acupuncture
Japanese developed a more gentle style of acupuncture but the roots remain grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Japanese Acupuncture uses a thinner needle at a more superficial level. Minimal stimulation to attain the greatest results. The Japanese style treatment works great for those individuals who have a fear of needles. A very gentle and effective treatment.
